Child development program
YMWA aims at improving academic levels, assess child behaviour, and train them in life skills using creative, non-traditional, motivational teaching methods. It also utilizes extracurricular activities that provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom through after-school- teaching sessions for children aged 6-12. Furthermore, it encourages a healthy parental relationship by increasing children’s and caregivers’ understanding of the concept of children’s rights.
Quran memorization lessons
Memorizing the Holy Qur’an is part of the comprehensive concept of education, which is defined for us as a psychological, physical and moral process. It is a mean of moral and spiritual education, and an entry point for teaching commitment and good behaviours.
Child rights training sessions
We pay special attention to children’s needs and safeguard their rights that are protected by our values and the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. The convention is a major necessity for maintaining human dignity and promoting children’s well-being and development.
Summer camps and extracurricular activities
Summer camps are an effective tool through which we contribute to the development of children’s abilities and development. Through summer camps we motivate children towards learning, developing their life skills, strengthening their values and discovering their own talents.
Field and exchange visits
to introduce children to the Arab-Islamic culture in Jerusalem We contribute to educate the 6-12-year-old generation about Jerusalem’s Arab-Islamic identity through field trips that take them to the city’s Islamic sanctuaries and introduce them to the city’s Islamic archaeological monuments.
Workshops in Theatre, Drama, and Poetry
WE also value the educational function that theatre and poetry play as literary instruments for developing the child’s imagination, talents, and creative abilities, as well as stimulating their thinking endeavours and artistic creativity.
Al-Atta Kindergarten
It was founded in 2018, and its educational curriculum focuses on preparing children for formal education levels by providing them with the basic required concepts and skills, as well as developing their self confidence through the use of many extracurricular activities, specifically learning through playing.
