YMWCA aspires to contribute to long-term development and advancement of Palestinian women and families by supporting economic and social empowerment and preserving the Islamic and Arabic heritage.
The Young Muslim Women Association was established in Rabi’ al-Awwal 1339 AH corresponding to February 4, 1979 AD, at the initiative of a group of holy women in the city of Jerusalem. The association obtained land from the endowments to establish a cultural center and a secondary school for young Muslim women, and the Islamic Bank thankfully built this great edifice, which was represented by the construction of a school for young Muslim women in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in the Holy City of Jerusalem.
